Last of the Summer Wine Tour 2013 Announced

If you aren't into Cricket & Curry & Beer (not "or, or" but "and, and") please don't bother to read on, the Blip is of Luna with Jerry in the background.

Please... only read on if you fulfill above & have masochistic tendencies:

Today Nogbad informed me that Norman, Compo & Foggy will, for the 1st time, hold the Tour abroad, namely Cardiff in September. The Tour is an annual event documented on Nogbad's journal - 2012, 2011 2010.
I have been trying for years to get the Tour to Germany but despite masssive backhanders, blackmail, threats, pleas & tears, the Executive Committee has rejected my bids claiming there is no cricket and no Vindaloo in Germany - they have though heard there is beer. Wrong on two accounts:

Cricket - There is a German Cricket Federation, one of whose member is the Bavarian Cricket Assoc., who in turn have 11 cricket clubs. This weekend the latest club to be formed in Germany, has it's first match. The Team is from the island of Helgoland which has spent much of the last 200 years under British rule even if they used it after WWII until 1952 as a bombing range. The match is being sponsored by a large Bavarian Beer Company albeit from their "Alcohol Free" Brand!

Curry - There are according to this review around 53 Indian Restaurants in Munich.

So having got these misbeliefs cleared up, I have started a new bid for the 2014 Tour. Luna will be the ambassador. Today she started the training, learning about daisy cutters, how to distinguish between a tennis ball & a MCC test quality, hand sewn cricket ball. Finished off with learning how to place the outfield and took the Blip at this point.

PS - The ball was the reserve new ball in the "testing" match at Henley? back in the 80's - honestly! The ball was not required as Phil failed to hit a 6 in to the Thames, Paul's fingernails were chewed down preventing him illegally damaging it while trying to add some grooves for his wicked Googly and Nigel as Nightwatchman fell to the 6th ball of the 79th over. The meal afterwards was VERY good.
