Field grasshopper

They're everywhere at the moment, especially in the long grass that's been left uncut in parks and gardens – so lovely to hear. This one was perched on sedum in the Bzzz Garage (by the bus garage), a community garden managed by volunteers.

Went to see the members' free film at the cinema. Joyride promised much from the trailer, but wasn't my kind of film – too crass for me. Also, I saw Return to Seoul earlier in the year and that is a much stronger film tackling more or less the same subject.
