It’s the Nautilus!!!

Kirk Douglas - Whale of a Tale

Day 2: Disney Sea. For those unfamiliar with the Tokyo Disney theme parks, there are two beside each other, Disney Land and Disney Sea. Sea being the newer of the two. And just like the title says, there are a lot of nautical themed features here with the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea being my favourite area. It was very well detailed and interesting. Rides included Journey to the Centre of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Disney Sea is centred around the theme of exploration and discovery. So it was a little less fantasy driven compared to Land. The rides were more intense like Indiana Jones, Soaring, Thunder Mountain, and Tower of Terror. And of course there was an entire area dedicated to Ariel and a lot of Finding Nemo themed places.

Agrabah of Aladdin was there also which was a really beautifully detailed area of the park. Aladdin is easily in my top 5 Disney animated films. The 4D Genie magic show was a hoot.

With the hot and humid weather, it was no surprise that the Mrs and I were exhausted by the end. The 8pm show at the Venice area was sensational with a fireworks laser music show that was quite jaw dropping.

With everyone having a good time, I was very appreciative of how much effort and work my parents put in to take my sister and I to Disneyland back when we were younger. Seeing parents sharing really happy moments with their kids was just priceless. We’re very lucky to be able to come to places like this.

Thank you Mum and Dad.
