Snapshots of my world

Stoodley Pike!

Four seasons in a couple of hours would describe the weather today.

Mum and I decided we would walk from The White House at Blackstone Edge to Stoodley Pike, and the forecast of blustery winds with sunny intervals seemed to go with that idea!

However, not long after setting off the clouds started to draw in and the rain began to fall. Nevertheless, it was a lovely walk to Stoodley Pike because it's always a pleasure to be up high on those hills.

However, it was clear we couldn't reverse the route we took to get to the monument because it would have been right into the eye of the rain. Instead, we took a path down into Mankinholes where we enjoyed walking through the lovely houses and meandering towards the canal. The sun came out a little too.

Once down we walked along the canal towards Todmorden, hopped on a bus to Littleborough, then onto a bus up to The White House where we were reunited with the car.

As we drove back the blue skies spread and the sun was shining, and it felt so much warmer.

My blip shows the different views of Stoodley under the very different skies. A very enjoyable adventure!
