Tea Time

Very special part of the day when we and the grandkids walked over to Geoff and Hélène's house for tea and scones in their beautiful garden. Gill and Dave were there, who I hadn't seen in many years; used to practically live in their house when I was a teenager, me and all the other young folk in our church then.

Proper scones with good strawberry jam and clotted cream on top (of course!), plus apple and plum tarts, all ably made by Lucie, their granddaughter (with a bit of help, no doubt).

Zion and Allegra were in the hammock behind me, which they really enjoyed, and then, as we left, Hélène presented them with a hammock of their own, which we are now trying to figure out where to hang. What a gift!

Gratefuls:
- Deb getting an essay written, just one to go now
- Sam and the other Camp leaders getting safely to and from south coast
- Mike mending the kids' chest of drawers
