Tousled Thistles

The thistle flowers around here are all ‘exploding’ into these magnificent tousled clumps of seeds…couldn’t resist at least one blip of them this year. Taken on our dog walk this morning.

It is our wedding anniversary today ..43 years and (not) counting….

Mrs madwill’s sister and her husband are travelling up to the northeast today and had a planned stop at Wetherby services to recharge their car…so we met up with them there (taking lots of back roads to avoid the Leeds Festival traffic) for a late lunch…it is their wedding anniversary - 43 years also…we had a ‘double’ wedding, probably much to the relief of the ladies’ father (sadly no longer with us)!

The granddogs are due to go home later today. Their humans are planning to call in on their way home to Doncaster from their little break in Wensleydale.
