Arch Light

Unpredictable rain through the day pushed me to walking in the woods for some protection. All the vegetation was sopping, shiny and vibrant green. I wished for a polarizer, but I don't have one to fit this lens.

I found this scene almost as I started. I liked the pools of light being illuminated through holes in the canopy. It was quite dark in the trees, my second wish was for a tripod, I think I was at my limit handheld.

I also liked the river disappearing round the bend and under the arch and the light coming through the arch. In fact it was so dark I missed the out of focus branch in the foreground.
