Shaped By The Wind

Trees here rarely seem to grow straight. The ever present sea breeze must at times turn to a relentless onslaught keeping them permanently bent over. The whole hedgerow adopts the same distinctive posture.

I liked the shape they make and the gnarly roots growing out of the bank of earth along the shore. I can only assume the earth beneath these trees is slowly eroding with the ebb and flow of the tidal water in this estuary.
