East Street

Whizzed over to Ilminster this afternoon to pick up some tines repaired at the agricultural engineers and we also paid a visit to the Arts Centre to look at an exhibition a friend has contributed towards with her paintings. We were delighted to find we knew one of the other artists as well who used to teach T when he was at primary school.

This is a view from the Arts Centre through the Lime trees to the terraced houses near the top of East Street. Ilminster is an ancient town in evidence before the Domesday Book where it is named Ileminstre meaning "the church of the River Isle".
