Sunbeams

Nectar delight

This honey bee was having a good time syphoning the nectar from the blossom of the Whitebeam trees in our garden. The light was very special all day while the sun shone high in the sky. As we were driving off this afternoon there was an enormous wasp shaped insect on our windscreen. Tried to take a photograph but it was very aware of me and I did not want to get stung! It could have been a Euro Wasp which are a very large species of wasp, or else a Hornet.

In the evening N and I went down to our local which has reopened after several years of closure for a drink. It now has a relaxing atmosphere and the villagers are beginning to meet up again in the evenings.
