Just resting a bit

Squirrels rarely linger long on the fence, possibly for fear of being picked off by a hawk or because they can't abide Basil barking at them.

This one lingered quite a while and looked as if he was taking a bit of a rest. If he is Poppa Squirrel, then he's the one responsible for the other little furry critters that are overtaking our road.

I like how his tail covers his head. It was just beginning to rain so perhaps the tail acted as an umbrella.

I had urged Basil to go out and chase him, but he refused. Just sat there looking up at me and grinning, and barking.

A few heavy showers today. As a result, Len didn't go to tennis but he has done first cut off the verge to the drive. It would be nice if we could get some different coloured flowers to the flatweed and hawkweed that bloom yellow from Spring through summer.

Me? I'm trying to learn Affinity Publisher on the job. Good thing I've had previous experience with Microsoft Publisher (before Word took the job on) and Quark Express. Sorry Serif. Your Affinity Publisher is not intuitive and has bugs.
