Those Were the Days

I had a blood test first thing (before 11am) then we went to FREDs for a coffee.  Worcester Art Gallery is not far from there so we walked over after our drink.  There were two exhibitions on show.  One was of the local racing driver. Peter Collins who drove in the 1950s and was tragically killed in a smash on the track during the German Grand Prix in 1958, aged 27.  He was born, and is buried, in Kidderminster.

The other exhibition is of the 1980s, recent history to some of us, but actually some 30 odd years ago.  Amongst the displays were boom boxes, a betamax video player (see extras), lots of film posters and album covers plus this 1982 Sinclair Spectrum. This has fond memories as it's the first home computer I bought. I remember teaching Pete to program. That obviously worked as he's still working in IT.
