I felt badly when I saw this little cutie looking for a drink. I had just dumped the water to clean the bird bath, aka wildlife drinking hole, when he showed up. At least he left with semi-full cheeks so not all was lost :) • Yes, the fall gathering has already begun as chipmunks scurry to fill their pantries for the upcoming cold (although I’m hoping for a mild fall). I’ve noticed more finches, nuthatches and chickadees are visiting the feeders too. So many signs of the season changing • A forecaster said after tomorrow’s rain we should have the longest stretch of dry weather since May! Let’s hope he’s right • Our thoughts are with Florida as they await the arrival of Hurricane Idalia • Peace & Love
