Sgwarnog: In the Field

Lizard

I spent the morning combing the Denbigh charity shops for Welsh language vinyl, then in the afternoon had a short walk in Llangwyfan forest with Brother #2.

A butterfly sighting had me climbing one of the banks at the side of the forest track, but one stride in, some movement in the rocks alerted me to a couple of Common Lizards basking in the sunshine. I can't remember when I last saw one, if ever.

Butterfly activity was fairly quiet but we saw Red Admiral, Holly Blue, Speckled Wood and Meadow Brown.
