During a break in the showers this morning I put some food out on the railing for the blue jays and the squirrels. Only one squirrel is allowed on the deck at a time. If the other one tries to come up, he gets chased off. The blue jays and the squirrel often fight it out to see who gets the peanuts, the blue jays will dive bomb the squirrel.
We had a few downpours today, some lighter showers and a few breaks between showers today. A few rumbles of thunder too. It's too dark to see my rain gauge right now. I know by noon time we had about an inch of rain. A friend posted that as of 7:30 this evening her rain gauge was saying 2 inches.
On the bright side, the 7 day forecast has sunshine for all 7 days. Let's hope that it is correct.
