The 'Poldermolen Oudegein', Nieuwegein

'Oudegein' = 'Ow-duh-GHaayn' = 'Old Gein', referring to the 'old' part of the tributary
'Nieuwegein' = 'New-uh-ghaayn' = 'New Gein' = name of the municipality

A polder windmill.
Built in 1666 and thoroughly reconstructed/renovated in 2006.
It's standing in what we call a 'natuurpark', 'nature park' (as opposed to a more garden-type park), where things are allowed to grow a bit as they might do in the wild, with some management, of course.

Wonderful weather with hide-and-seek clouds, or should I call them now-you-see-them-now-you-don't clouds?  Radar was clear about where to go, though, so I wasn't deterred.

At home, a day of housekeeping and kitchen duties.  It's not certain yet what day I'm to begin, but best to finish activities, get them out of the way before it gets busier.  In the meantime, thankful for a bit more of free time.  The weather will change as well, but also traffic situations.

Thankful for three in a row, something I didn't expect.  And thank you very much for your patience and for dropping by.
