Wind Surfer

It was very cool and windy, definitely not a beach day, so we all headed up to the northern tip of Long Beach Island to the Barnegat Light House.  We weren't the only ones who had that idea, unfortunately.  Our daughter-in-law and 6 year old granddaughter chose to climb the light house, and we stayed below and took a walk along the 1000 ft concrete jetty.  

I noticed a wind surfer who was really cruising along, back and forth through the inlet.  I was amazed at how he could control his direction in the strong winds, and how very strenuous the activity must be and he is no youngster. At one point he spotted me with my long lens pointed at him and he waved and smiled and began to show off a bit.
