As Days Go By

Last day of summer

A tradition in our house is that we go out for tea on the first day of term. Now that we all have different start of term dates (and some of us no terms at all any longer) we’ve switched to a ‘celebrate the end of summer’ instead. Betty’s in Harrogate was the venue for this year, where we met Jack and Caitlin and had a thoroughly lovely lunch. Anna’s included this lemon sundae and she impressively managed the whole thing.

Back to work tomorrow, I’m resisting turning the laptop on until I absolutely have to. It’s been a very lovely summer, but I’m looking forward to the term ahead, and it’ll be Christmas before we know it.
