Surprise forest

When I went in the greenhouse yesterday I was amazed to see this. I'd tipped out trays and pots of compost from things I'd transplanted or things that had not grown. Then I'd just left the pile of compost to use later. Imagine my surprise when I saw that some asparagus seeds had grown. It looked like a miniature forest!

(I was also surprised to find a toad snuggled under one of the trays of plants on the garden. He soon woke up and scurried and burrowed under the next seed tray.)
