Homeward bound

Although we have the camper hired until Friday, we have to return it by 10am, so the big journey south had to be taken today. And what a drive it was.

My Extra shows my best attempt to capture the scale of the mountains on Skye, but it was epic scenery all the way down to Loch Lomond, part of which you can see in today's Blip.

From there it was less interesting, although still enjoyable, with scenic matters improving somewhat when we turned off the M6 at Tebay and made our way to Ribblehead via Hawes.

Ribblehead is no more than a stone's throw from Kirkby Lonsdale, but we didn't want to just go and stay at home, plus the pub at Ribblehead, The Station Inn, does excellent food.

Before we ate, though, we popped up to Ribblehead Station to take a couple of photos for the single that I'm releasing off the album in a couple of weeks' time. The Minx took a perfect shot. (She is such a safe pair of hands!)
