The second half of life..

Feathers in a tangle

Seddon Shield day 2 included an outing to Taylor's Dam - a great place for birding! - and a Rock n' Roll dance group.   I'll definitley be returning to Taylor's Dam - lovely spot and a few freedom camping parkups :D  This wee chap obviously got himself fully immersed in bug hunting but was amazigly adept at clearing the cobwebs from around his head using the branch to brush them off.  Clever boy!  The Rock n' Roll dancers were good but the session was very short and the venue not really conducive to decent photography.  Still, it was good to be faced with the challenge of overcoming the light/background issues.  See extras for the best of a mediocre-to-bad bunch!  The evening was a special evening at the Omaka Marae where were were welcomed onto the marae semi-formally followed by a hangi dinner (an 'electric' version, not a traditional ground version) and the youngsters performing some haka and waiata (song) for us.  What a special evening :)
