Y Graig

TUESDAY

I went out for a short 3 km run from home to the top of the local nature reserve. From here there are long distance views across the Vale of Clwyd with the Denbigh Moors in the background and in the far distance the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. To the right is the North Wales Coastline with Colwyn Bay and The Little Orme just visible and also the offshore wind farms near Rhyl.

It was a steep and hot climb up Y Graig (see extra).

Late morning we went to the bathroom showroom to finalise our order for a new bathroom.

This afternoon marked the last day of the 2023 bowls season and the team was playing away at East Parade, Rhyl. Having won our last four games we didn't finish on a roll and lost 2 - 10. On a personal note, having moved to North Wales I picked up the outdoor game again in July after a break of over 20 years and I am happy having finished the season with the following average:

Played 5; Won 4; Lost 1; Points for 103; against 68; average +7.0

We celebrated afterwards with drinks and a buffet at the Castle Hotel, Rhuddlan.
