Echo stitching

First strip of the cranky quilt quilted.  Having sewn it into strips before I put it away last year, I decided to quilt it in strips, then join the strips afterwards.

It's been a hot, and rather muggy day.  I was dripping sweat at times just wrestling with a strip; can imagine how exhausting it must be wrestling with a full quilt.  Quilt as you go is definitely the way to go!

W continued working on the printer stand for my office area, but we need to take another trip in to Waterford tomorrow. 

We had a visit from a rather odd chap, whose job was to check on the electricity poles.  We knew we had one on our land - turns out we have two, each one behind/buried in the hedge - he had to fight his way in to check them.  We will be dealing with the hedge - it's very overgrown!
