Departure

I’m unapologetically obsessed by sunsets this week, and today is no exception. Ingeborg’s Abstract Thursday is an excuse for some ‘creativity’ - or ‘faffing’ - to produce an image which is admittedly more surreal than abstract. It’s a double exposure using a sunset shot from earlier in the week with an in flight shot of gulls taken today, and  some additional help from Distressed FX. The sunset was on Tuesday - amazing how the sky I posted two days ago changed as the sun reappeared below a bank of cloud. I loved the way the little group with the paddle board in the shallows almost transformed into Polynesian islanders setting off in their outrigger canoe - but perhaps it’s just my overactive imagination! There’s a ‘quieter’ shot in extras that may well appeal more! 

Our week of socialising continues, with a lunchtime visit to a friend today - so good to feel able to do this. I think tomorrow will need to be a quiet day!
