In the garden…….

……….very early.
Woke early. Still adjusting to the bit of time difference.
It is lovely in the garden this morning.
I’ve already dead headed some shrub roses and cut the lavender, which was giving out its heavenly perfume.
The misty sun was just peeping over the hedge by the Liquid Amber tree.
The robin is singing and there are muffled sounds of traffic stirring but all is so perfectly still.
Even last night’s first lot of washing is hanging limply on the line.
A high of 29C today predicted.
Not the 30C of yesterday.
It does feel as though it is beginning to imperceptibly shift.
More lavender to cut before I have a cuppa. I’m still in my nightdress!
