New and old voices

Steve is a neighbour who I had invited round for drinks. He hadn't yet seen my apartment since I moved over to the States and it was the first time since leaving Edinburgh that I found myself preparing nibbles and drinks. It felt really nice :-).

Anyways, we had a lovely chat and, at some point in the evening's proceedings, I let Steve hear Fats Waller's 'Shortenin' Bread' on my 1928 Odeon Gramophone.

I tell you, shellac records and beautiful engineering is such a delightful experience.
