A day of Lego

I arrived at campus in enough time to go into the library to say hello to colleagues who were meeting there - including Enzo the baker. Then back to where I was working. We had twenty-nine students working in small rooms with enormous windows ramping up the solar gain, it was toasty.

When I've previously done the Lego gig, we've started with a pre-built buggy (and for many years I was the one who built them before week one started). On this job each group of students has three EV3 blocks, a specification and a free hand. This means that the buggies are not all uniform, it's great to see what people come up with. The other two blocks are used to control fairground attractions and they are also many and varied. Special mention to the plasticine pumpkins - check the extras

And then home. The external temperature didn't drop below 33C even though there was a fairly brisk movement of air around the vehicle (but not more than 69 MPH officer). All up, a lovely day
