Sloes

Over the hedge is a blackthorn bush with blossom in the spring and sloes in the autumn. We don’t make use of them except for photographs.
I wasn’t looking forward to cooking the Sunday lunch in this hot weather but in fact it has been a little cooler today, with just a very few spots of rain at tea time. My sister reported thunderstorms in Somerset.
