Glaciated lake.

A long walk today in the mountainous area above our campsite. We aimed to reach the top lake and did so without meeting another human. Plenty of sheep and cows and a distant mournful cry of a bird of prey.
Much hitter than our last walk due to the absence of any breeze. The paths here were difficult to find abd we were cobstantly having to back track to avoid boggy areas on the hillside. The reward was a swim in the ice cold lake. So refreshing after our long walk. We made better progress on the way back and stopped off at the pub for beer and food.
Grateful for:
Achieving our aim to reach the lake.
Swimming in a huge expanse of ice cold water surrounded by a rocky cliff on three sides.
Solitude once more.
The extra is of one of the dry stone walls built across the mountain slopes.
