And so it begins

Vonnie was working in Edinburgh so managed to give me a lift to the airport. Traffic had held us up slightly but got there pretty much on time. Walked through the door at the wrong end of Check-In though and thought everyone had already dropped their luggage off and had went for a pint/breakfast. Thankfully one of the younger IST members also did the same but had brought a sensible adult along with him who pointed us in the direction of the bunch of scout leaders waiting patiently for us. I was full of nervous energy so once we’d dumped our bags and got through security rather than sit down for breakfast in the bar I did laps of the place with a BK breakfast of some sort. Then the plane got delayed due to a missing fuel tanker.
Eventually took off but with what was originally a two out gap between flights being reduced to us looking like we’ll miss the connecting flight by 15 minutes we were preparing to spend the night in Munich! Thankfully we landed and basically sprinted the length of the terminal and straight onto our flight. Then we sat for an hour on the tarmac due to a weather delay…
