A Meeting with a Royal!

This statue of Willian IV still stands proudly above the grand entrance to Plymouth's Royal William Victually Yard. Lower down, on either side are two large oxen heads. The yard was designed by the architect John Rennie. The whole yard is absolutely fascinating and has great views across the River Tamar to Mount Edgecumbe Countryside park. It was great to have an opportunity while my car was being serviced  today to walk around the yard and then take the Cremyll ferry to Mount Edgecumbe. Glorious warm, sunny weather too!
