A view from St Swithin

The Loch Muick 5

I've done this walk twice before but was tempted by a call from a mate. All 5 Munros around Loch Muick in one long walk (about 19 miles). We started on Lochnagar ( main blip) and finished on our last Munro (Broad Cairn). The weather was dull and overcast but clear - good walking conditions. The Cairngorms are a unique landscape and habitiat. We saw a flock of Ptarmigan and a  many moutain hares. Sadly there's also the wreckage of a plane that crashed in WW2 (extra) that I first visited in 1973.
We started at 8am and finished at 5.30, before retreating to the Ballater chipper for some fish and chips. A grand day out.
