Above And Beyond...

All Saints

Fellow blipper SilverImages (Ken) arrived at my house mid-morning, and after a full english breakfast at the nearby A40 cafe (Pencraig, Ross on Wye, Herefordshire) I drove us to a couple of churches Ken wanted to visit.

The first was St Catherine's at Hoarwithy (nr Ross on Wye) with it's amazing, no expense spared Romanesque architecture and decoration.

The second was three miles from Hoarwithy at Brockhampton, called All Saints Church (1902AD) set in a stunning hamlet. The main is of it, and the extra is an aerial view.

Early afternoon we stopped at The Little Green Hut on the A40 at Much Birch for a coffee and chat about the spiritual side of life (and death) before Ken needed to head off. An enjoyable few hours in the sun and stunning Wye Valley.
