The M/V Elettra lll

I like seeing what’s new on this pleasant walk along Lake Union.   This 82 ft research vessel is moored at the moment at the Seattle Seaplanes dock for reasons unclear.   I did find an article about it…it’s now owned by Salish Sea Expeditions who teach middle and high school students about the sea….there’s a link to three Electra Marconi designed boats and one to this 1962  boat .   I'm not sure it's being used now..... Salish Sea Expeditions merged with the Northwest Maritime Center in Port townsand in 2019,.   Will try to find out more... 
I would have loved learning on that as a kid....another view in the extra.
