Repeating Mistakes

Oktoberfest is really a Bayerisch/Bavarian thing.  You don't wear Lederhosen or Dirndls this far north (unless you're a bit dim).

There many earlier Blips where you can find out why Oktoberfest starts in September - basically it boils down to this "Oktoberfest originally took place in the 16-day period leading up to the first Sunday in October."

Did you know that the Oktoberfest in München has it's own court and jail cells? Things can get rowdy.  Even in Bayern. 

The Wiesbaden version has made a big mistake.  Bindings Bier is not really fit for a celebration.  A bit like serving Carling Black Label or Tennents or American Budweiser and saying it's Festbier.  It isn't.

Anyway if you want to spend a night in a tent with hundreds of people, drinking stupidly expensive beer and "schunkeln" to "music", have a great time.
