Tea Anyone?

Worcester was holding a Courtyard Sculpture Celebration this afternoon.   Surrounding the unveiling of the new sculpture created by artists Ron Thompson and Julie Edwards of Planet Art were various activities and music.  The teapot celebrates the Royal Porcelain Works and is in the area between the Royal Worcester Museum and the Works and close to GoodRoots which was convenient as we dropped in for a coffee.

Children were modelling with clay and there was an art session underway.  We arrived late and missed the Mayor and the music though there were still plenty of people around.  In Henry Sandon Hall there was an exhibition of photographs taken some years back of various areas of Worcester including one showing the canal area where our house is; it was industrial and dominated by the Royal Worcester factory buildings, chimneys and kilns.

I've added one of the pictures drawn in the art session.  It seems appropriate.
