Enigma

No photography today

Just digging. The garden project is coming along nicely and we have uncovered many interesting objects and a variety of pottery pieces. It has even been suggested calling in The Time Team. At least they would do the hard work for us!

The photo shows an intriguing item which we cannot identify. It is brass, and has no obvious marking or identifications.

All suggestions on a postcard please!

If I am still bored tomorrow I might blip the bowl of ceramic items we have kept from the previous weeks of digging.
