Walk by the Ohio River

Our warm sunny and dry weather continues, and we got out for a beautiful walk by the Ohio River. I’m having to do all the driving at present, as R’s vision in his operated eye is still extremely impaired - it’s according to what the doctor said, but we’re both feeling impatient for things to noticeably improve! We realised as we were approaching the city, it was Oktoberfest this weekend, a big event in Cincinnati, where a lot of the early immigrants were German. However, it didn’t really affect our walk by the river. If there had been a baseball or football game, that would have been a different matter, since both stadiums are by the river! We enjoyed a lovely walk, admiring the beautiful flowers along our way, as well as the views across the river to Kentucky, and the views of the Cincinnati skyline. Cincinnati has done a wonderful job of keeping the riverfront attractive and open to various sorts of activities for all ages.
