Blackpool sunset

We have come to Blackpool as mr D has a hospital appointment and we thought we would make it a mini break and look around the area as neither of us had been here before. When we arrived it was sunny but VERY windy. Apparently this was the tail end of a recent hurricane. After I got my blip shot we set off to meet up with R and Mr P. Neither of them had ever been to Blackpool before either so it was an adventure for all of us. We had decided to meet up for dinner and chose an Italian restaurant. When we arrived we found the restaurant was closed in spite of saying it was open on the internet. Fortunately the cab driver told us that there was another Italian restaurant around the corner so we went to have a look at it. The staff were very funny and the food was good so we decided to stay and had a great evening. Our next adventure was getting the bus back to the hotel. We firstly had to find the bus stop, which took us towards the Blackpool Tower where I got my extra. The Christmas lights had been switched on at the beginning of the month so there were no dark skies around here! The people on the bus were very friendly and helpful so we were soon back at the hotel.
Blackpool is not what I was expecting at all. Hardly anyone around in the very wide streets.
