Urban Jungle

"Roads to Nowhere" is an alternative title - a system of roads abandoned, incomplete and now on their way back to nature. My sense of the human made building is that much is de-valued, not built well, in states if dis-repair, and will end up being taken over by the forces of the natural world. It will be a new kind of wild garden as is this area of Seattle!

For those who know Seattle this is near the Arboretum, a bunch of exits and entries to the 520 that were abandoned. If you are a limber tree climbing soul like me you can clamber up on one and walk out to join up with the functional 520 which given the worry over terrorist activity is amazing to me. I could have stepped over a tiny curb and joined the traffic on the exit to the Montlake Cut. Weird!
