Today was down as the "hardest" day with the most ascent, and it was. We got to the start in the hotel vans again and set off up a track over the road. There was mud, lots of it which made us feel at home, forest, more mud, a false summit, more ascent and at last we ditched our bags and had a rest and a snack before the final push. Another false summit, a bit of a descent amongst the cows and then finally up to the highest summit of Peña Main, Cabeza la Mesa at 5,288 feet. Success, we did it!

The descent wasn't much fun, but we got down to the vans and were taken back to the hotel. Tomorrow is a rest day and we're doing our choice of activity.
