The Westgate

The Westgate is one of two surviving fortified gateways in Winchester, the other is Kingsgate, formerly part of Winchester City Walls. The earliest surviving fabric is of Anglo-Saxon character.

It’s been wet and windy today. Several plants in their pots had blown over.

As it was so wet I didn’t work on the shed but instead cleaned the house more thoroughly than I usually do.

In the evening I’ve been to choir practice hence the photo of the Westgate.
