The Truth

Yesterday I faked it, but today I'm showing it how it is. The fog cleared around 10am and I hung out my washing. For a few minutes I had the satisfaction of seeing steam rising from my dark towels. Then the fog gathered again for the rest of the day.

Sad to hear of the passing of my favourite modern novelist. The Crow Road and The Wasp Factory stand out for me, but others like Espedair Street, Complicity and Transitions really involved me, and bear repeated readings.
