@J T Soar - Nottingham

The headliner David A Jaycock (past BBC folk awards nominee) with Andy Burge on Bass. David used a stylus to play his electric guitars on occasion and Andy a bow on his electric bass guitar.

I primarily went to see main support act (& from Nottingham) Burd Ellen (Debbie) play a solo set.

It's most casual vibe and conversational artists gives it a special feeling. A mixed audience including some Uber cool looking twenty-somethings - then there's me asking for a seat for the last act - the gig was just under 3 hours in total, with street breaks for everyone after every act due to the heat inside.

Lots of folk and pagan stories to accompany the tracks.

DON'T LOOK at the lamp, or her t-shirt.

A track from the no 5 The Guardian folk album of 2022 (played live here)
