In deep water..?

My Blip shows our motorhome rental on the shore of Loch Lomond this morning. Less rain last night but the loch does have waves lapping onto the shore 24/7.

Heading south was much delayed as we managed to pick up a very large nail in a front tyre. We limped into Glasgow to a well known tyre centre but they said they couldn’t deal with such a large vehicle.

I started to phone other companies around Glasgow, all said the same. By noon I called the breakdown service included with the rental. Why is everything automated these days?

We couldn’t really drive far so we sat outside the tyre centre with the prospect of a 4hr wait for a patrolman let alone a tow or repair. After 1/2hr a tap on the window by the manager of the tyre centre revealed he would try to do a repair. A while later it was done, paid for and we drove to a nearby store for lunch.

The repair failed so we returned and they did it again. After a total of a 3 hr delay we were on the road again. We’re back in North Yorkshire again, home tomorrow.
