Flower Friday 22_2023 :: FF22_2023 :: Cosmos

Rain damaged Cosmos in a sea glass bottle. 

I found some of the recent rain back home had damaged the cosmos in the front garden. I decided to rescue some for display.

The green bottle was purchased in Poolewe, Scotland from a small shop attached to the village hall. The young lady who ran the shop said a friend had bought the bottle up whilst diving in the sea. 

I've tried to research the bottle, it was made by Cantrell & Cochrane in Ireland and as far as I can tell it would be called a flat bottomed Hamilton skittle bottle. I'm guessing it would be about 100 years old.
