Bits and Bobs!

Neptune's Fountain, Cheltenham

With cover at home, thanks to a family friend and the amazing N, set off this morning from my local station for Cheltenham with my Bus Challenge Friend, changing trains in Bristol. Altogether the journey took just one hour.

From the station we walked to the Montpellier district of Cheltenham which is full of beautiful Regency townhouses (extra 1), stopping off at a pavement café in the sun for a cuppa (extra 2). The street was lined with exclusive shops and Caryatids, apparently the town’s most iconic Regency feature (extra 3). From there we visited a small art gallery in Montpellier Gardens, before walking towards the town centre passing more stunning architecture, including what must be the grandest council offices ever (extra 4). We’d intended to visit the town museum and minster, but after having enjoyed lunch in the sun at another sunny pavement café, we’d run out of time and had to take the bus back to the station for the return trains. We only had three hours in Cheltenham but still it felt like a much-need relaxing break. And despite the forecast it didn’t rain once!

Thank you for your kind stars and hearts for my glowing roses.
