Cardiff Bay

Day out in Cardiff today.  We've not been before (well, Sharon had once 31 years ago to the now demolished Empire Pool) and so we decided to walk around the dock.

We started off by the wheel and the Pierhead building, and then started walking around to the locks and barrage at the other end.  We got caught in a shower there so went into a cafe for tea while it eased off, then watched the locks open a couple of times before walking back to our start point.

We discovered that Roal Dahl was born in Cardiff; the main blip is of a very long crocodile model.

The first extra is a view of the wheel and the Pierhead building across the bay.
The second extra is a fisheye from inside the Wales Millennium Centre of the words that show up on the outside.
The third extra is of some discarded bikes behind the bike hire shop.  I never had a chopper.
The final extra is of the circles that are painted on various parts of the locks.  When viewed from the correct point, this makes three complete concentric circles.
