Rainie

Wabi Sabi

Wabi sabi (embracing imperfection or beauty in decay).
Munted, washed out but still upright and beautiful in its imperfections.
Spring here in New Zealand, the garden is exploding with pretty things. Namely my beautiful burgundy magnolia.
Over recent days, we have been hammered with hot and drying nor-west gales which has knocked the garden around lots....like lots and lots.  Then today it has rained and rained adding to its demise.  The rain very much needed - from 27 deg yesterday, today we reached the giddy height of just 7 deg.  Crazy, with lots of snow inland, we're presuming the fires have died down and just smoldering (if that).  Heaps of serious flooding in Southland, and Queenstown having slips taking out roads ... like I said crazy.
Global warming without doubt.
