Solace Day 7 - Wedgwood

We wanted to do the tourist thing this morning so we went to The World of Wedgwood I was very keen on pottery when I was doing my A-Leval Art and beyond into adult evening classes. Mum also liked to copy ideas in her pottery classes.

The V&A have got involved with this famous pottery and the (free) museum is packed with examples and information about the work of Josiah Wedgwood. The whole building is a beautiful design experience.

I enjoyed drinking coffee from a Wedgwood cup and while we were doing that, a customer was being shown special, one-offs and didn't flinch when he was told the price was £43K. He came back to take photos of it.

I was stuck for what to blip from this wonderful place. We want to go back in November to go on the Factory Tour.

We went to the nearby Neil Morrisey pub, the Plume of Feathers,  for lunch. Agin we rated it the best restaurant/pub meal ever.

In the afternoon we returned to the marina to wash the boat down ready for leaving tomorrow.
